2025 Ford Mustang GTD Performance Park: A space dedicated to accelerating
Ford unveiled the interior of the 2025 Mustang GTD.
The manufacturer described the Performance pack and Lightweight pack for the Mustang GTD.
The final price of the $325,000+ Mustang GTD has not yet been revealed, but the 2025 Ford Mustang GTD is getting closer to going into production later this year. Ford revealed some new information about the vehicle on Wednesday in advance of its public debut this coming weekend at the 2024 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The Ford sports car icon, the Mustang GTD, is a street-legal and track-focused variant that boasts a supercharged 5.2-liter V-8 engine that produces over 800 horsepower. It will start at roughly $325,000, but Ford will add options to boost the price tag and improve performance even further.
They'll consist of the time Ford created the appropriately called Performance Pack to make sure the Mustang GTD can achieve its performance goal of a lap time of less than seven minutes at the Nürburgring. Larger front splitters, dive planes, more underbody flaps, and the previously shown rear wing drag reduction system are all part of the pack.
A lightweight pack with 20-inch magnesium wheels, a distinctive front fascia design, and removed sound-deadening material is also included in the pack. The amount of pounds that the Lightweight pack will save is unknown from Ford. Additionally, the company has not stated if the Lightweight pack will be sold separately.

A unique model from the Carbon Series will be on display at Le Mans. If you choose the Carbon Series option, the wheels will be finished in a silver shade called Magnetite, while the hood, roof, and rear deck will remain exposed carbon fiber. There will be options for Grabber Blue, Race Red, or Black painted brake calipers in addition to body color or contrasting painted stripes.
The Mustang GTD's interior, which includes Recaro bucket seats up front, carbon-fiber dash elements, leather and synthetic suede upholstery, and a rotary dial shifter for the standard 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, was also shown for the first time by Ford on Wednesday. The titanium used in the rotary dial shifter, paddle shifters, and serial plaque was salvaged from a former F-22 fighter aircraft combat aircraft. The polycarbonate glass that shows off the Mustang GTD's pushrod-actuated rear suspension, which includes Multimatic's Adaptive Spool Valve (ASV) dampers, has taken the place of the rear seats.

Buttons on a flat-bottom steering wheel are used to change the exhaust mode and suspension stiffness. Ahead of the rotary dial shifter, there are two more buttons that allow you to access the Track Apps page and turn on the front-axle lift system.
The Mustang GTD is available from Ford for the 2025 and 2026 model years. The carmaker has not disclosed the number of examples that will be produced or if it plans to increase production after those initial years. Prospective purchasers must complete an application process. Last month, the procedure for North American buyers concluded; Ford reported receiving over 7,500 applications. June 13 is the start of the European application process.
