DSE seeks EU cooperation to develop Bangladesh’s capital market

 In a meeting with the EU delegation on Wednesday, Professor Dr. Hafiz Md Hasan Babu, the chairman of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), asked for cooperation in order to further the development of the capital market.

He also covered topics like luring in international investors and developing new products and technologies at the same time.

The gathering took place in the capital city of Dhaka, inside the DSE Building in Nikunja.

The EU delegation pledged to work with Bangladesh to improve its capital market in every way.

European Union delegation in Bangladesh The European Union was represented at the meeting by Marga Peeters, Project Officer of Public Finance Management of Statistics and Economic Development, Macroeconomic Analysis, and Enrico Lorenzon, team leader and first secretary of inclusive governance.

Among those in attendance at the moment were DSE member Md Shahidul Islam, Managing Director (Acting) Satvik Ahmed, Chief Financial Officer Khairul Basar, and senior DSE officials.
